• Giuliani's Twelve Commitments to America

  My apologies for being absent from my Blog site for so long.  In response to a few emails asking me "where are you?"  I will respond by saying that I did not drop off the face of the Earth.  Let me just say that I do have a job and I have to keep a roof over my family. 

   

  I am considering to write a series of postings on the Immigration issues in our country.  If anyone is interested to hear such drivel from an average voting American, then let me know. 

   

  Last week I received a mail-out from the Rudy Giuliani Presidential Committee.  I guess it was sent to all registered Republicans.

   

  Anyways, it lists twelve commitments (promises) that Giuliani will do, IF elected President of the United States.  In a nut shell, it is his platform:

  • Keep America on offence in the Terrorist War on Us.
  • End illegal immigration, secure our borders, and identify every non-citizen in our nation.
  • Restore fiscal discipline and cut wasteful Washington Spending.
  • Cut Taxes and reform the tax code
  • Impose accountability on Washington
  • Lead America toward energy independence
  • Give Americans more control over, and access to, healthcare with affordable and portable free-market solutions
  • Increase adoptions, decrease abortions, and protect the quality of life for our children
  • Reform the legal system and appoint strict constructionist judges
  • Ensure that every community in America is prepared for terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
  • Provide access to quality education for every child in America by giving real school choice to parents.
  • Expand America’s involvement in the global economy and strengthen our reputation around the world. 

  Rudy’s “Twelve Commitments” are “based on the principles of giving people more freedom, more power and more responsibility of their own lives, while protecting our nation, strengthening our economy and improving our quality of life.”

   

  I agree with Rudy’s comments regarding the Liberal Democrats goal to take our country back to the 1990’s with higher taxes, and a weakened posture in the Terrorists’ War on us.  However, his Twelve Commitments to America sound extreamly familure to those made by the current administration and the previous administration; not to mention the present Democratic Candidates (and Hillary).

   

  As much as I like and admire Rudy Giuliani, I fear that he may not be able to carry the votes outside of the New England States; although I am sure that he will take away the 31 Electoral Votes that New York has from Hillary. 

   

  However, I am still waiting on Fred Thompson to announce his candidacy.
